Leicestershire and the housing numbers game

Government changes to the way housing requirements are calculated will impact adversely on the Leicestershire countryside, says CPRE Leicestershire.

CPRE Leicestershire has written general election candidates standing in Leicester and Leicestershire constituencies to raise local concerns and to ask for support for CPRE’s national manifesto, ‘Our countryside: a manifesto for the next government’.

Branch AGM set for Wednesday 9th October 2019

A46 Expressway Meeting - A Great Success

The plan for the A46 Expressway was heavily challenged at a very well attended meeting held at the Coplow Centre in Billesdon on Thursday 4th April.

In a new report, “Leicester A46 Expressway – The Road to Ruin”, CPRE Leicestershire argued that the proposal is fundamentally flawed.

Meeting to oppose A46 Expressway Plan

Residents of affected Parishes are invited to a meeting on Thursday 4th April to oppose this plan.

CPRE Leicestershire called for an urgent re-examination of the revised Strategic Growth Plan.
