Tuesday, 19 September 2017 10:03

We are pleased to let members know that Gerald Kells has been appointed by the Task Group dealing with the SGP to help and advise them with the consultation.

Gerald Kells is a Policy and Campaigns advisor who has worked for nearly thirty years in the sustainability sector.

He has led many environmental campaigns, including successfully opposing a number of damaging road schemes and promoting public transport, helping to protect the Green Belt and responding to proposals for new supermarkets and industrial sites.

He was a Regional Officer for CPRE for ten years and an active member of the West Midlands Regional Assembly, involved in their transport and planning policy groups.

Since leaving CPRE he has represented environmental groups and local residents at Local Plan Examinations, given transport and housing advice and appeared as a transport witness at Public Inquiries. He recently advised East Midlands CPRE on the implications of Midlands Connect.

His extensive policy work, lobbying and media at all levels, means he is able to advise on campaign goals and provide a wide range of support.

We are delighted to have him on board!
