Corporate Countryside Partnership Programme

Why partner with CPRE Leicestershire?

Leicestershire is one of England's most productive counties. Our logistics hubs, manufacturing plants, distribution centres, and construction sites power the regional economy. But that productivity comes with responsibility. Hedgerows are disappearing. Biodiversity is declining. The countryside that surrounds our businesses, and that your employees drive through, live beside, and value, needs active investment.

CPRE Leicestershire exists to protect and enhance this landscape. We campaign for better planning, fight for green spaces, and now, through this programme, we are putting tools in the hands of local businesses to make a direct, visible difference.

Every metre of hedgerow planted supports nesting birds, pollinators, small mammals, and natural flood mitigation. Hedgerows connect fragmented habitats, sequester carbon, and define the character of our countryside. When your team plants a hedgerow with us, they are restoring ecological infrastructure that benefits the whole county.

The Experience

Our partnership programme is delivered at Bull & Hollow Farm, a beautiful site in the Leicestershire countryside, easily accessible with ample parking.

Your team will spend the day immersed in conservation work, guided by our trained volunteers. The day is structured to combine purposeful activity with team bonding and enjoyment:

Conservation Work: Hedgerow planting, habitat enhancement, and biodiversity projects. Your team will learn why hedgerows matter, how to plant them properly, and see the tangible results of their effort. This season's target is 600 metres of new hedgerow - and your business can be part of that legacy.

Archery Sessions: Small group archery in a stunning rural setting. A chance to challenge each other, laugh together, and decompress in a way no conference room can replicate.

Farm Café & Shops: On-site catering, a micro-brewery, and farm shops. Your team eats well, relaxes together, and leaves feeling genuinely restored.

This is a complete team experience, one your employees will talk about, and one that delivers real wellbeing benefits alongside real environmental impact.

Why Your Staff Will Thank You

The evidence is clear: time spent outdoors in purposeful physical activity significantly benefits mental health, team cohesion, and employee engagement.

Your team will return to work having:

  • Worked together on something meaningful outside the office's pressures.

  • Built connections with colleagues they might never otherwise collaborate with.

  • Spent a full day in fresh air and green space.

  • Learned something new about the local environment.

  • Felt genuinely proud of what they accomplished.

The Countryside Needs Local Businesses

Government funding alone will not restore Leicestershire's hedgerows. National policy alone will not reverse biodiversity decline in our county. It takes local investment from local organisations - businesses with roots here, employees here, and a stake in the quality of the landscape around them.

CPRE has championed the countryside for a century. Now, for the first time, we are inviting Leicestershire businesses to stand alongside us

Work With Us

We’re looking to partner with businesses that want to make a practical, visible contribution to Leicestershire’s countryside and communities.

Whether your focus is staff wellbeing, ESG goals, community impact or environmental responsibility, we’d welcome the opportunity to explore how your organisation can get involved through meaningful local action.
