Branch responds to Leicester Local Plan
At the end of February the Branch sent its response on the Leicester Local Plan.
The Branch concentrated on a limited but key set of what it saw as central issues. These revolved around the housing numbers but just as important the lack of a coherent climate change strategy across the Plan, and the main response was to Chapter 3 for Strategic Climate Change Policy. There was a lack of a joined up approach around the location of development, planning, transport and climate change, especially carbon emissions which was a major concern.
The Branch would like to thank the tremendous efforts on this submission that were put in by Tony Stott, John Marriott and Gerald Kells, the Branch consultant.
