Annual AGM 5 January 2023

The Trustees again decided that the Branch AGM should again be held virtually via Zoom. This decision was taken to keep members safe and to avoid unnecessary travel to a venue.

The AGM was held on Thursday 5th January 2023 and sixteen members attended.
Tony Stott, the Branch Chair, gave a brief presentation on activities that had been taken during the past year and some of the points he covered included:

• Contact with Jane Hunt, MP, on the loss of agricultural land.
• Meeting with Councillors Phil King and David Bill.
• Consultation work including objections to Hinckley Rail Freight Interchange; Hinckley and Bosworth Regulation 19 Plan, Regulation 18 Plan for NW Leicestershire; heavy involvement with responses to the Charnwood Local Plan examination as well as the Leicester unmet housing need and housing employment assessment (HENA).
• As well as assisting Branch members and members of the public with their planning concerns.
