Breaking News: HNFRI Plans Refused by Government (10th March 2025)

This is a landmark day and a huge win for Leicestershire residents, campaigners, parish councils, MPs and all who care about the the countryside, including CPRE.

CPRE Leicestershire have raised various objections, working hard with local residents and councils to oppose the development that would devastate the countryside and dramatically impact the surrounding villages due to the proposed logistics of HNRFI.

Government have made the right decision to reject the application on the basis that, in the balance of things, the scheme would be unreasonably detrimental on local communities and transport.
